Retro Robots Made From Recycled Junk

+Brauer, a sculptor and painter from France. He creates his lovely pieces using discarded industrial materials, in effect, breathing new life into them.HORTON (BD)

“In our modern world, where objects often have a single life, I aim at inventing a new existence for them by diverting them from their initial function. I particularly like the robust appearance of used steel and industrial materials. When I put them together, they start a new life as unique pieces of art, in which each component can tell its own story.”

A 'Superbug' who does not need an introduction- Steve Jobs

Quotations by Steve Jobs:
"When you’re a carpenter making a beautiful chest of drawers, you’re not going to use a piece of plywood on the back, even though it faces the wall and nobody will ever see it. You’ll know it’s there, so you’re going to use a beautiful piece of wood on the back. For you to sleep well at night, the aesthetic, the quality, has to be carried all the way through."

"Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works."

"Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations."

"To turn really interesting ideas and fledgling technologies into a company that can continue to innovate for years, it requires a lot of disciplines."

Eric Lafforgue : Travel Photographer

Born in 1964, Eric Lafforgue lives in Toulouse, France. Ever since he was a young boy he has been fascinated by far away countries and travelling and produces content for television, radio, the music industry and travel photography as a freelance photographer and multimedia producer.

His career as a photographer began quite late in 2006. But his success has been startlingly rapid. Soon after first posting his pictures on the website Flikr he began to get professional commissions, and with in just a few years he has come to be regarded as one of the world’s best travel photographers. He is perhaps best known for his work on North Korea, Papua New Guinea, and the tribes of Ethiopia. Introducing a Super Bug- Aleksandr Petrov

Director of 'The Old Man and the Sea'- (An Academy Award winning Film, A must watch animation short..)

The last novel Ernest Hemingway published, The Old Man and the Sea has proved itself to be one of America’s long lasting all time best fictional stories to read. It is the story of an old Cuban fisherman’s dry spell being broken: a relentless, agonizing and amazing battle takes place when he hooks a giant marlin that drags him out to sea.

The winner of the 1954 Nobel Prize for Literature, Ernest Hemingway is one of the greatest writers of modern American literature. Hemingway’s unparalleled style and ability to target in on the perfect characterizing detail of a person or scene has influenced every serious novelist of the second half of the 20th century.

In 1999, Aleksandr Petrov won the Academy Award for Short Film for a film that follows the plot line of Ernest Hemingway’s classic fictional novella, The Old Man and the Sea. Petrov’s technique involves painting pastels on glass, he and his son painted a total of 29,000 images in total. It’s amazing that they could take all that time and hard work to produce this fine wonderful short film. You’ll find the film really worth watching, I recommend the long version. It’s sure to capture their imagination.
